With a career that spans 40 years in the blues and some 33 albums, he is renowned as a harmonica player but also has a very listenable singing style which features prominently in his latest album SANCTUARY (Real World Records).

The album is rooted in the blues but displays a variety of musical influences that make it appreciated by a wider audience than just blues fans and it is rapidly being recognized as a classic that distils his life, from humble beginnings to making music and traveling the world. Charlie even teams up with the Blind Boys of Alabama on a couple of tracks.
A truly great album.


In the new year, you can catch Charlie on tour with the Sanctuary band, Chalie Sexton (guitar), Jared Michael Nickerson (bass) and Michael Jerome (drums).
