Festival International de Jazz de Montréal

Tickets have gone on sale for the 2005 Festival International de Jazz de Montréal.

The biggest names on the local and international jazz scenes promise to make this 26 th edition of the Festival at least as exciting as the 25 th anniversary blow-out.

Already confirmed, two legends of the jazz, pop and R&B worlds will be sharing the stage for an extraordinary show. Roberta Flack and Al Jarreau at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, PdA July 7, 8:30 p.m.

And the legendary Blind Boys of Alabama, who have been bringing classic gospel to fans since 1939, but always with their own unique touch, will be back with Mavis Staples, lead singer of the Staples Singers at the Métropolis July 1, 9 p.m.

So mark it on your calendar right away – June 30 to July 10, 2005 – and start planning for those balmy summer nights when Montreal and its citizenry shift in to party mode.
