Street skaters have own plaza.
With all the hype about skateboarding being banned from so many US streets, it is nice to learn of a 39,000- square-foot skate plaza now open in Kettering, Ohio, near Cincinnati. Particularly because it has been designed to incorporate all the features that street skaters relish.
The brainchild of Rob Dyrdek, the Rob Dyrdek-DC Shoes Skate Plaza, really is his baby since he conceived, designed and raised nearly all of the funds to build it. In an interview with SkateboardDirectory.com the 29- year-old explained that as a lifetime skater, he has built somewhere that he would enjoy skating. Got to be a good starting point.
