Ski-Bikes and Ice Riders

Ok, not strictly speaking a bike in that nothing goes round - well not intentionally but we do like to keep up to date and ski-bikes can now be seen on many mountain resorts. Allen Holder at Kentucky.com reports that three Colorado resorts, Keystone, Telluride and Durango Mountain, have even embraced the sport to the extent of training ski bikers and renting equipment.

The sport is much more prevalent in the European resorts but there is an American Ski-Bike Association whose site features a section on getting started and some nice gallery pictures.

Those that want real wheels can always try their hand at ice riding. Gordon Weixel in the Bismark Tribune, reports on a bunch of guys who are seriously up for a challenge at Menoken Grove lake, east of Bismarck. We are talking motocross bikes with modified tires and speed!
