Boca Raton Museum of Art
Faces and fashions from a defining period in American art are frozen in time in this touring exhibition of portraits and figurative paintings from the collection of the National Academy Museum.
The exhibition, Seeing People, opens at Boca Raton Museum of Art on April 27, 2005 and runs through to June 19, 2005.
Seeing People features more than 40 works by American artists from the Academy’s collection, dating from the mid-19th to mid-20th centuries. The exhibition is organized thematically, exploring subjects from everyday life, such as labor, leisure, patriotism and the family.
More than 40 works by American artists including an interesting self-portrait by John Singer Sargent.
