Mission Bossou

The Second Annual Mission Bossou African Benefit Concert featuring Sidiki Conde and the Tokounou Ensemble, takes place on Friday, April 15th at 7:00 pm in the Bergen County Academies Auditorium (200 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601).

Mission Bossou is a student-managed organization based in the Bergen County Academies with the mission to assist the people of the village of Bossou, Guinea in the sustainable development of their region.

Sidiki Conde has gained widespread recognition as a percussionist, vocalist, and dancer; incredible for someone who lost the use of his legs when they were fourteen.

For more than 30 years, Kulu Mele African American Dance Ensemble has been a vital driving force behind the African cultural renaissance in Philadelphia. The company presents traditional African-American dance rooted in the cultures and aesthetic values of the African Diaspora but blending West African ancestral traditions with African American creativity.
