Surfboard illustrators

"So you think you have talent, do you? Prove it." Demand the Mariners' Museum, Newport News, Va. They want you to submit your best illustration for a surfboard.

Between June 27 and July 20, 2005 send digital files of your artwork to www.mariner.org or mail a copy of your work to the Mariners' Museum, 100 Museum Drive, Newport News, Va., 23606, and mark it for Attention Surf Contest.

World-renowned graphic designer and surfer David Carson and representatives from the Mariner's Museum will announce the winner during a huge party on July 23, with live music from No Talent Show and a surprise special guest.

The competition is being run in conjunction with the Life's a Beach exhibition at the Mariners' Museum throughout the summer.

Oh, by the way, the winner's prize is a board; shaped, airbrushed with their design and glassed, at the party. How cool's that?
