Long Beach Blues Festival

Many musicians have been caught up in the Katrina disaster. Fats Domino who had previously been reported missing in the New Orleans' floods was apparently taken to the Superdome stadium, though conditions there are said to be worse than those in 3rd-world refugee camps.

Labor Day Weekend will be the last thing on the minds of those in the birthplace of the Blues but at Long Beach, California, final preparations are underway for the 26th Annual Long Beach Blues Festival which is poised to continue their tradition of bringing the best of the Blues.

This year The Black Crowes and Etta James lead an all-star lineup of legendary artists at California State University, Long Beach Athletic Field, CA 90840

Music begins each day at 11am and ends at 6pm.
