Newtown Friends of Music
After playing at the International String Quartet Festival in their home town of Prague, the world renowned Talich String Quartet are now touring the U.S. and residents of Newtown, Connecticut will be given a treat on Sunday, October 16, 2005 when the Czech quartet perform a concert at Edmond Town Hall.
This wil be the opening concert of the 2005/2006 Newtown Friends of Music season. Newtown Friends of Music is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to enlighten, entertain and enchant, with exquisite music, superbly performed and they will surely accomplish this with the Talich Quartet next Sunday. Their performance includes, Beethoven's, Opus 18, No.3 in D Major, Janacek's Kreutzer Sonata and Smetana’s String Quartet in E minor.
