Rembrandt and His Time
Through to January 8, 2006, the Milwaukee Art Museum is holding an exhibition of some of the greatest drawings and paintings ever produced by Dutch artists. Celebrating the 400th anniversary of Rembrandt's birth in 2006
The exhibition is based on works loaned from the Albertina, Vienna, including 115 drawings and prints from the Albertina and 15 related paintings. Another painting, Rembrandt's 'Landscape with the Good Samaritan', loaned by the Czartoryski Museum in Poland, has never been exhibited in North America before.
